Sometimes your best friends are people you meet on Sometimes your best friends are people you meet on the internet. 🥹

@willteachfortacos and I met online in 2020 when she reached out to me with a question about working in EdTech, and I remember thinking, “Wait, I already follow you!” Little did I know I’d eventually be making regular trips to Lubbock, Texas to spend time with her and her family.

I’ve been planning this birthday surprise since JUNE, and somehow managed to keep it from her all this time. She had absolutely no idea I was coming until I showed up at her door (and apparently knocked VERY loudly).

And somehow we were wearing the exact same color shirt when I surprised her, which I didn’t even notice until I was editing this video. 😂

In about 48 hours, we went on walks, baked sourdough bread, went to the gym, planned her gallery wall, bedazzled some things, went to football practice, hung out with the kiddos, and fit in approximately 700 conversations.

Very grateful that one random message on the internet in 2020 turned into a friendship worth flying to Lubbock for. 🩵

Happy birthday, Chels!! Love you!
